Eric and Jonette Rood are the proud owners of Roody's Family Tradition Guide Service. Eric has been hunting pretty much his whole life, he was taught at a very young age by his grandfather and was in the woods every chance that he could. To this day, Eric loves to hunt or just to be in the woods. Their daughter Cassidy has the same passion for hunting. Eric started taking her hunting at a very young age and she fell in love with it. She shot her first bear at 10 years old. At 13 years old, she's shot 2 bears, a deer and 3 turkey's, plus many partridge and woodcock. A few years ago, Eric and Cassidy took a trapping safety class together and started trapping, which they both love to do. 

Eric and Jonette both love the outdoors and what the woods have to offer. Eric has always loved taking people out hunting and showing them some "tricks of the trade," especially children. After all they are the future of our outdoor heritage.  There is nothing better than watching the excitement and seeing the expression after the harvest of an animal. 

Eric decided that it was time to get his guides license and start taking hunters out in the woods to enjoy what the great woods of Maine has to offer and to share his passion of hunting. Eric really enjoys making new friends and life long memories.

At Roody's Family Tradition Guide Service LLC, you arrive at camp as guests and leave as friends. We will give it 100% so you have a successful hunt. But in all reality, it's the hunt and memories that matter most, harvesting an animal is a bonus. Hunting with Eric, Jonette and Cassidy you will be like family. They will go above and beyond to make your experience a memorable one.
